Cool Young Vegan Activists other than Greta Thunberg

Greta Thunberg is a household name now and most people are aware of great work done by her.

For those who don't know her, she is a vegan environmental activist on climate change whose campaigning has gained international recognition. Thunberg is known for her straightforward speaking manner, both in public and to political leaders and assemblies, in which she urges immediate action to address the climate crisis.

Her sudden rise to world fame has made her both a leader and a target for critics. Her influence on the world stage has been described as the "Greta effect". She has received numerous honors and awards including honorary Fellowship of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society; Time magazine's 100 most influential people and the youngest Time Person of the Year; inclusion in the Forbes list of The World's 100 Most Powerful Women (2019) and two consecutive nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize (2019 and 2020).

We love Greta and we would also like to acknowledge good work done by other vegan young activists who are making a difference in our society. Let's read about them -

Thomas believes that speaking out against cruelty on behalf of all living beings, including the environment Thomas has been active in animal rights since he was about 4 years old.

Thomas received the Young Animal Activist Award at the animal rights national conference and won the compassionate kid award from PETA kids for saving the shark on his birthday and for using his voice to help end animal suffering.

He believes in speaking out against cruelty, to all living beings, as well as speaking out on the damage that is being done to our environment. Thomas is a firm believer that raising awareness and educating people is key to seeing real change in our world. By exposing the truth and giving people the tools necessary to speak up, positive change can happen.

Jasmine Polsinelli is a young vegan activist and her commitment to defending animals comes naturally. She attended her first protest at age 8, and stays committed to advocacy through participation and education. She helps her mother, an authorized wildlife rehabilitator, take care of infant and injured wildlife.
She knows more about the fur industry than most adults learn in their whole lives. She’s stood outside of Canada Goose, leg-hold trap in hand, waiting to speak to CEO Dani Reiss about alternatives to the down and coyote fur they use in their jackets.

She was the youngest person ever to be awarded a lifetime membership to the Association for the Protection of Fur-Bearing Animals. She regularly attends vigils with Toronto Pig Save. Raised in an environment that encourages speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves, she believes change can not happen if you remain silent about what you believe in.

Genesis Butler

Genesis Butler

Genesis has earned numerous awards for her activism including Animal Hero Kids, Sir Paul McCartney Young Veg Advocate award, Vegan Kid of the Year award from Vegans Are Cool, and the Lisa Shapiro Youth Activist award.

In the year 2019, Genesis has been named PETA’s Young Animal Activist of the Year for her animal advocacy.

Genesis recently became a Marvel superhero in an episode of the Disney+ series Marvel Hero Project. The show features young, real-life heroes who make a difference in their communities. Butler was featured because of her work teaching others about animals and inspiring them to go vegan.

She continues to advocate for animals through speaking engagements, social media and has even started her own foundation called Genesis For Animals. she also advocates access to plant-based meals in hospitals, nursing homes, and prisons; putting a stop to animal testing; and banning the dissection of animals in classrooms.
